HIGH-PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

To create a true high-performance option for all players in the BVTW, Jr. CHAOS and Cochrane Rockies stream that provides the very best development opportunities for all its players and coaches. ​
To offer an affordable, realistic and local option for this high-performance program with the intention of giving motivated players from the draw zone the ability to access the program close to home.​
To tie the Timberwolves, Junior Chaos and Cochrane Rockies Programs and P3 Sports Hockey Academy together to ensure that each player is accountable to academics and athletics through a singular channel.​

U18 BOW VALLEY TIMBERWOLVES ACADEMY

This program is designed to offer the training necessary to ensure all BVTW U18 Players have the best possible opportunity to achieve their goals of advancing their hockey careers beyond U18 and to play at the highest level possible.

APPLICATION PROCESS

CHOOSING ATHLETES THAT WILL EXCEL AT P3

We choose students for our Hockey Academy by evaluating several factors. This is to ensure they’ll be a good fit and find success within our program. We assess your child by their technical skill level, academic performance, and character. These three main areas help us determine students we think might be a good fit.

Once we look at those areas, we then require applicants to participate in a tryout skate and personal interview. P3 will also conduct academic, character and athletic reviews to proceed with the application.

MAKING SPORTS PART OF DAY TO DAY LIFE

We are partnered with three different schools in the Rocky View County area to make signing up for P3’s Hockey Academy a breeze. Our students don’t have to sacrifice their regular schooling experience to attend our academy. Instead, we integrate our Hockey Academy seamlessly into their regular school schedule.
Typically, our athletes leave their school during their physical education, leadership, or general option class period to lace up and hit the ice. They will spend that time working on their hockey development before returning to their regular classes afterwards.

We believe in bringing the best coaches in the industry onto the P3 team. Every trainer has years of professional experience developing players and pushing them to the next level of play. Athletes join the P3 family to work hard and get results. Our team is here to coach and drive them there!

OWNER, SKILLS COACH

Ryan has experience coaching at all levels including Bantam, Minor and Major Midget AAA as well as Junior A. He was twice named the CRAA Coach of the Year.

SKILLS COACH

Mike played USPORT at UBC as an 18-year-old and was selected 97th overall to Dallas. Mike enjoyed a 13-year pro career spanning 145 NHL games with Dallas, Toronto and New York.

MANAGER OF HOCKEY OPERATIONS

From Calgary, Alberta, Jarvis spent his playing days as a goaltender before getting into coaching and shifting his focus towards developing minor hockey players.
